Plains (Sioux) Indian gun stock war club. Beveled wood from handle to end of club. Old iron point that shows pitting is held in place with a brass rivet. Has a wood crack on one side. Has a typical flower design on both sides with what appears to be missing a tack in the middle of each flower. Has 21 brass tacks that have a red stain or remnants of paint around each tack. Hole in handle show evidence of polish inside. Club shows age from use. Exact date unknown. Circa: Late 1890'...s - 1910. Possibly used as a ceremonial dance club; Pow-Wow's etc. 26 1/2" long.
