One of a Kind Vtg Ceramic Cookie Jar Mushroom, Barrel, Gare Inc 1976, HandpaintedGare Inc ceramics were similar to the paint your our pottery like they have today. Why have the same old cookie jar that others have when you can have this unique, one of a kind handpainted cookie jar barrel from 1976. It has the initials JT on the bottom but whomever JT was, he or she was a fantastic painter! The detail in the painting to show the barrel wood, the hue of the different mushroom, butterflie...s and flowers, all give it a fantastic 1970s kitchsy kitchen look!The jar itself is in fantastic shape and only has some minor chips at the base that can't be seen when the jar is sitting kn a table. The lid has not chips but does have a line crack (see pics). If gentle with the lid, you should have no issues. Given it with about to be 50 uears old, someone's handpainted cermaics made it this long so you can enjoy their work! And would lokk great in any retro kitchen, display or as a display piece!Canister is 8 1/2" wide (at the base) by roughly 11" high. Opening of jar is 6 1/2"wide. The outer lip of lid is roughly 7" wide.While light for its size, i have added a $2 processing fee to the cost to add extra bubble wrap and extra packing materials for shipping.Condition is commensurate for useage and age.Please let me know if you have any questions!Thanks for looking!
