For your consideration is this antique 4 gallon stoneware churn made by F WOODWORTH of Burlington, VT with a cobalt blue floral type decoration. Produced between the years of 1875-1878. This churn is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks or repairs. There is a few flecks on the inside lip where the dasher lid would have set. There is one very small line, on the inside. I am not sure if this is the start of a hairline or if the glaze is scratched. It is only about 2 inches long.... Only visible on the inside. See last photo. This piece stands about 17 inches tall, the top is 8 inches across the outside diameter and is 6 7/8 inches inside the lip diameter. It weighs 15.2 pounds. This would make an excellent addition to any stoneware collection. If you have any questions please ask. Be sure to check out my other items for more great stoneware.
