This was a great find out of a now defunct ice cream parlor in Massachusetts. The shop was I’m told opened in the 1870s until late 50s...In good condition .Very solid sign. Nice embossed letters. Solid wood frame. No smell. A real nice rare ice cream sign. Would display nice anywhere and a nice size 36” tall....by approx 20”wide.This is a two sided sign ...and as you can see one side is better than the other. Better side has 2 small holes...and other side has surface r...ust on bottom with small hole... definitely could be light sanded and painted .These were outdoor signs ....A frames...and we’re most likely used outside the shops that carried and served Bemis ice cream.....if you want you could make 2 signs out of this piece.... please take a look at pictures carefully before bidding. .......UPDATE.....I have got MORE INFO on these signs....they are from the BEMIS ICE CREAM CO. ATHOL MASSACHUSETTS.....who manufactured ice cream and sold it from the shop in athol.....the ice cream machines and coolers are still intact in the basement of the building... I found a few sample ice cream containers....which I have a picture of ...but are not included in this sale. Great looking Sign!....
