Antique Chinese Metallic & Silk Embroidered Dragon Vest / Tunic And Skirt This wonderful antique ensemble includes an open-sided vest or tunic and matching skirt or paired aprons, both lined in orange silk, trimmed in black silk and embroidered with dragons, phoenix birds and floral-and-foliate motifs in silk flosses and gold metallic-wrapped threads couched in white silk. The long vest has four-toed dragons chasing flaming pearls, with bats and other auspicious symbols ...above rocks, water waves and deep water on each side, and the skirt has eight embroidered phoenix birds flanking dragons that match the tunic's dragons, and smaller embroideries of clouds and water. In overall good condition, strong and wearable, the tunic with fraying, splits and pin-pricks to the black edging and a couple of spots, and several scattered spots, a few pinholes and fraying at the seams between the black silk ribbon and blue silk in some places and a crudely finished waist on the skirt, the tunic measuring 30-inches long and 11 3/4-inches wide, and the skirt 32-inches long with a 36 waist and 86-inch hemline sweep.Please Note: We will happily accommodate most shipping requests and will combine multiple purchases for shipping.
