This is the nicest example of this desirable dagger I have yet seen. The blade is rather crudely forged but is bright and mint, leather buffer still intact at the cross guard. The grip covering has a slight dimple but all there and is a pleasing turquoise color, both "jewels'" intact in the bird eyes, grip mounts are hand chased and excellent. Scabbard is about mint as well. … All the brass fittings have a nice even patina and I see no evidence that they were gilt, … interesting st...ory of where this came from, I bought it from an Indian relic collector who got it from his neighbor .. A Korea War Airforce veteran who claimed to have liberated this knife from a downed North Korean mig pilot, … don't have the man's name but I'd like the story to continue on with the new owner …….
