Antique Rare American Civil War Confederate Navy Cutlass from US Artillery Sword
A VERY RARE USED CONFEDERATE NAVAL WEAPON MADE FROM A US ARTILLERY SWORD WITH CERTAIN ALTERATION FOR NAVY USE. HILT IS OF SOLID BRASS WITH CONFEDERATE ADDED LARGE SAIL GUARD OF BRASS OR COPPER. HILT HAS MARKINGS AND NUMBERS, ALSO EAGLES TO THE POMMEL. BLADE IS VERY VERY STRONG DOUBLE EDGED UNMARKED. CONDITION IS GOOD WITH MUCH PATINA AND AGE WEAR, BLADE AND HILT ARE TIGHT. LIKELY C...IVIL WAR PERIOD USED. TOTAL LENGTH IS 24 1/2" BLADE IS 19"
