Description/Interesting Notes: A rare, old time example of pyrargyrite and polybasite on quartz from this historic Nevada locale!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of intergrown pyrargyrite and polybasite on quartz matrix!!! Upon close inspection... one can see some well defined crystals of pyrargyrite in addition to the massive material!!! Upon close study with a loupe or scope there is more crystallization and detail to be seen as well!!! Old time examples of silver ore from Nevada's silver boom days are quite scarce and seldom seen on today's market!!! This specimen is from the noted collection of Martin Jensen and retains a copy of Ted Nolan's (USGS) specimen notes dated 1925!!! Jensen's detailed label notes: "traded from Tom Lugaski, Mackay School of Mines museum curator, Reno Nevada on 03 April 1998"!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
