Description/Interesting Notes: (note: due to an error in the listing, this auction is being relisted - don't miss out on this rare second chance!) A unique, old time example of native copper from Franklin!!! This specimen consists of a large, dense mass of native copper that went th...rough the mill long ago at Franklin!!! The evidence of rolling in the mill is evident and, what makes this specimen even more fascinating is that there are fine bits of willemite that have been embedded throughout the native copper!!! The willemite is difficult to discern in regular lighting, but under SW UV they are immediately apparent!!! Upon close study one can see that the minute grains of willemite are actually embedded within the native copper!!! Very cool, old time material!!! This specimen is from the collection of George Elling and retains two additional older affixed catalogue numbers as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
