Description/Interesting Notes: (NOTE: We just returned from the Denver Show and some other buying trips and have acquired a number of very exciting specimens - be sure to stay tuned throughout this and the upcoming weeks for some amazing acquisitions!)An extraordinary example of bicolor topaz from this historic Russian locale!!! Th...is specimen consists of a complete, undamaged, highly complex topaz crystal that exhibits sharply defined color zoning with a center zone of light blue and outer zones of deep peachy-champagne!!! The zoning is very sharply defined and the difference in colors is dramatic - making for a particularly impressive and unique example of this rare and sought after material!!! The crystal exhibits highly complex faces and features with luster that varies from velveteen to glassy depending on the underlying complexity!!! The crystal is complete and undamaged and even appears to be partially doubly terminated!!! An outstanding, old time example of this prized Volodorsk material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
