Antique ART DECO French Burl Walnut Finish 3-Door Armoire Wardrobe Closet circa 1920
This beautiful Antique French Art Deco Armoire is solid walnut with a multi-tone burl finish with a mirror patina and amazing pull handles in the shape of a woman on each door. The top displays rounded carving accents and arched doors which slope u...pward toward the center.
PLEASE NOTE: The handle on the right is missing its tail end - see photo.
The larger side (left) has 2 doors that open to a 40 inch wide metal hanging rod for hanging items and a 42" mirror on the inside of one door. Behind the right door are 5 shelves, each 17 inches wide and 17 inches deep.
This would make a great extra clothes closet with lots of shelf storage that could hold numerous pairs of shoes, bags, and other accessories.
The piece is large so also functional for storing linens, blankets, crafts, photos, dishes, glassware, etc, etc. The previous owner used it to hang her huge tablecloth collection (see photo) which was very heavy, and I stored all my heavy winter coats and hanging items so I know it's strong enough to handle whatever you may choose to hang in it.

Similar pieces with less detail sell for up to $1395 - $5500, so this is a GREAT DEAL at $650! It's just very large and does not fit through the front door of my ground floor townhouse apartment in Brooklyn as the gate entrance is low and there is a corner to turn to get through the front door. It just wont fit. I have had the wardrobe in storage at SmartStop Self Storage, Evergreen Avenue, Newark, NJ.
