Offering this Outstanding pair of Sevres Lidded Urns made in France Ca: 1870. The Urns measure aprox. 18" high x 5 1/2" wide. I have had several Sevres Urns in the past; but very few with the Color, Quality, and Design of these being offered. The main body of the urns are a stunning Jade Green Color with a Deep Emerald Green foliate overlay design, embellished with a raised Rich Gold outline. The large oval shaped centers of the vases are hand painted depicting courting couples i...n pastoral settings, both with different scenes. The first is that of a Gentleman presenting the Lady with a small cage, containing a Dove. The second scene is a Gentleman reclining on the ground holding a musical instrument, while the Lady stands with her arm extended, presenting him with Flowers. The Colors are Rich and Vibrant on this pair of Sevres Urns, and the Quality, Fine Detail, and Beauty, is just Unsurpassed. The Lids are signed underneath LB P France.
