A magnificent embroidery that was made for the church.  The colors are magnificent as is the central motif.  It is edged with gold metallic fringe trim.  It is backed in a salmon cotton sateen, probably added more recently.  The condition is poor.  In spite of its beauty it has a number of areas of weakness in the silk, including some repairs (obviously loved).   25½” x 26” This would look beautiful in a frame. ...
