Fragment of the "Tiger" from 1613.This fragment of wooden peg charred in fire is one of the oldest surviving relics of the Dutch colonization on New York and western Long Island.It is part of the Dutch vessel - "Tiger" which came to shores of Long Island in 1613. The vessel was commanded by Capt. Andrian Block.This piece was discovered in 1916.
