ANTIQUE CHINESE EMBROIDERED SILK KESI PANEL WITH IMPERIAL DRAGON. A FINELY HAND-WOVEN EMBROIDERY WITH SILK AND METALIC THREADING. I BELIEVE IT'S AN OLDER ONE, IF YOU LOOK CLOSELY YOU CAN SEE THAT NOT ONLY IS THE DECORATION EMBROIDERED BUT THE ENTIRE BACKGROUND IS FINE WOVEN SILK THREADS. CIRCA 19TH CENTURY AT MINIMUM BUT I BELIEVE IT IS LIKELY OLDER.
IT DOES HAVE SOME CONDITION ISSUES; LOST THREADING (MOSTLY TO BORDER), LIGHT SURFACE WEAR AND STAINING, ETC... THE ATTACHED BORDER SU...RROUND HAS SOME LOST STICHES AND HAS COME LOOSE FROM THE PANEL IN PLACES AT THE TOP AND BOTTOM. MEASURES 34" LONG X 15 3/8" WIDE
