Up for sale is a gorgeous Vintage Kelly Black Raven Double Bit Axe. Has the Embossed Logo and potentially the Original Handle.
I've had this listing up for the past 2 weeks to gather more info from folks with more knowledge on this brand of axe. What I've found out is that some say the paint is original and that the screw on back of axe head is also original, some say otherwise. Maybe it was used in logging competitions?

It was all very interesting and fun to get insight on this piece of history!I'm not making any claims about the paint, screw, or handle. I'm including the best photos I could take so please see all photos and let me know if you have any questions. Please note the crack to the handle.This axe head seems to be after the 1930 merger with AF&H.
I leave the determination on the paint and the back screw up to the bidders.There have been many offers made for the saw so I'm starting this final auction at $499 to allow all who contacted me to bid this week if they want.
