This listing is for an authentic 19th century doll quilt that measures approximately 18” x 22”.
Stylized red and green flowers are neatly appliquéd by hand onto white backgrounds and joined by green sashing.
It looks like it was assembled and quilted on a (treadle) sewing machine.
Condition is ‘well loved but not abused’.
The calicoes have faded and popped.
The binding is lightly fraying.
There is foxing and other marks on the white fabric.
All this sounds... dreadful but these doll quilts are so rare and this will display well. This is the only one I have ever come across for sale in the real world.
I have not laundered this.
