Good morning Folks....Today I am very pleased to be able to offer for sale, with no reserve, this very nice 137 pound Hay Budden Blacksmith Anvil. Signed on the side Hay Budden Manufacturing Co. Brooklyn NY. Anvil has a great look, almost hand chiseled, with a long upswept horn. Anvil has a nice flat top, with a tremendous ring close to 100% ring it with your fingernail. Edges of the top have some rounding, and a chip or two (see pics). Hay Budden anvils are known as probably the best ...ever made, and this one is no exception. Known as the Rolls Royce of anvils. One would be hard pressed to find a better made anvil than this one. Specs are as follows 25 1/2" long overall. The face is 15 1/4" by 3 5/8th" The height is 10 1/2" The footprint is 10 1/2" by 9" The Hardy Hole is 1" square and both Prichel holes are 1/2" Top plate is 1/2" thick.The weight is 137 pounds. SN looks like 15191 137 Lbs makes this a very good size, you will be able to move it around, or take to jobs or demonstrations.
