The second to the last photo shows the thick 2" strong and interfaced top panel at the top of the drapery for hanging. It seems that it was used with round clip hooks; round hooks were used at the Museum and it hung beautifully.
The piece is completely handmade with the finest (heavier) linen with superb details of Bobbin Lace, Needlelace, Cutwork, Italian Filet, and gorgeous handmade linen tassels. This is an extraordinary example of 19th century handmade lace for home decor.
The Lace Museum is charging only $18.00 to get his piece to its new home, however additional shipping charges will be paid for by the Museum. This is a heavy piece of drapery that will bring stunning history to any room in a home. It is a very long piece and is very strong and very worthy of use in this day and age. It must also be mentioned that it would hang well over a backing of color to further enhance the mythological details and the stunning cutwork. It is a masterpiece.
