This is an original Army appointment hand signed by Rutherford B Hayes, as 19th President of the United States. This commission appoints Edwin F. Glenn as a Second Lt. in the 25th Regiment of Infantry. The document is countersigned by Secretary of War, George McCrary, and by Adjutant General Edward D. Townsend. This original document had been mounted to a larger board. This document has the beautiful engraved War Department imagery and the original blue seal. Please see photod for cond...ition.
