Offered is an original, handwritten, single-page note by former President George H. W. Bush. This is post-presidential correspondence on his personal 4-1/4” x 6-3/8” heavy white bond notecard with blue border. “George Bush” letterhead at the top.
This is dated May 10, 1998 and reads: "Dear Doug - Kindness goes a long way. Thanks for your very kind letter. Sincerely George Bush.” With nice, full signature.
Making this note unique is Bush’s p...layful reference to his smudge of the salutation "Dear Doug"....where he adds the word “oops” with an arrow. Other than the smudge, this card and content are in pristine shape. Any questions, let me know and thanks for bidding.
