The entire piece, mounted, is 13”. The left side is a thermometer, engraved C.F. Martine, Milton, Mass. It is working and records -30 to 170 degrees. There are engravings for : Zero, Freezing, Tempe Rate, Sumr Heat and Blood Heat.
The barometer side is a empty bottle. It has a smooth, finished top...there may have been a cork of some kind to contain the fluid. There are stains inside that look like evaporation residue.
This is in otherwise very goo...d estate condition.
