Marie Rogers Double Face Jug Southern Folk Art Primative Pottery......................…….........Estate Find!!
Here is a really nice find from a recent estate liquidation. All items are being sold to satisfy estate debts and are being sold as is and where is. I am not a Jug guy and all information is taken from tags that were stored with each jug. This is part of a 35 piece collection that includes: Marie Rogers, John Meaders. G.F. Cole, A.R. Cole, ML Owens, Steve Abee, Bobb...y Ferguson, A.V. Smith, Jerry Brown and others. These willbe listed over the next Three months.
Up for auction is a Marie Rogers Double Face Jug. The piece is approx. 10 inches tall as shown with ruler photo and is in as fired condition. One side is a woman with braided hair. The other side is a man with a beard. Very Nice glass runs. "Jesus Is Lord" etched on One side with the potters signature etched on the other side. I have taken a dozen pictures to show markings and condition of the item which are parts of the description as well. The last picture shows a part of the collection to be auctioned over the next months.Winning bidder to pay $25 for U.S. mail insured shipping within 3 days of auction end.
