This lot is for a two page hand written letter to James Brand (a James family friend) from Anna James, Wife of Frank James.
Letter was written in ink, is in great condition, with envelope.
In the letter dated 11/13/1901, Mrs. Frank James writes to James Brand
Mr and Mrs James Y. Brand Your letter received this morning. I thank you for the invitation to visit you and some day hope to have that pleasure. You will see in that article about Mr. James that he is in the Nation with a party of friends hunting. He has not yet returned. He said Mr. Wallace is not the one that tried to hound him to death during his trial, but an old Army comrade. In another column of same paper you will see what our boy intends doing."
Page 2. "Mr James received the mony order and usually acknowledges receipt of such letters immediately, and I have a letter for him from John Henry. Kind regards to all your family. / Respectfully / Mrs. A.F. James"
This letter is in nice condition, ink is light brown iron ink and comes with original envelope (stamp missing) and a rare original personal calling card of Mrs. Frank James.
