Wonderful birds in air variation in rich jewel tone prints set in a diagonal. Quilt is hand pieced with hand quilting at 12 stitches to the inch. Thin summer weigh with very thin or no batting. Diagonals are quilted in a vine and leaf designs while pieced blocks are quilted in straight diagonal lines. Dated in lower right corner 1853. Never washed. Light staining from storage on front and back as well small stains on back. See photos 73” x 84”
