This is a great 1960s era Mid Century Modern Stoneware Art Pottery Bowl from Soholm Stentoj and Artist Maria Philippi...Made in Denmark and also numbered 3368/2. It has a beautiful blue/gray mottled color that looks a lot like faded denim...and the bowl has a series of concentric circular designs along the inner sides of bowl. It measures approx 11 1/8" across x 3 1/8" tall. The bad news....it has a rather large chip shown above in photos...it is the same chip with one p...hoto showing inside view and one showing outside view. The other major flaw is a hairline crack that you don't readily see though once you find it is visible...you may have to look for it initially with your hands and even then it is hard to find but when you do locate it you will find it extends pretty far on the inside..about halfway through to center/middle of bowl..and on the exterior it extends approx. 3". It is hard to tell exactly is it blends in with the color and the mottled look so you have to locate it and feel it. The final flaw is some glaze wear along bottom of bowl from use...maybe also be spots of hard water wear as they seem to lighten with a little rubbing...or maybe a bit of both? Having said that....it can still be used as a display or centerpiece bowl and it is too beautiful to discard IMO so I am offering it for sale.
