This wonderful and exceptionally rare, Tin Litho Advertising Tray measures 13" in diameter and features a fantastic image of a beautiful and alluring young woman wearing a flowing, low cut, off ...the shoulder gown reclining on a fainting couch with large silk pillows. The woman stares dreamily and almost appears to be in a near trance. On a side table beside the couch is a large, half full bottle of Bartlett Spring Mineral Water along with a glass. The scene is sumptuous and alluring and the Tray is one we have never encountered before.
Text on the sloped rim reads "Bartlett Spring Mineral Water / From Bartlett Springs, Lake Co., Cal. / Bartlett Springs Co., General Offices No. 2 Sutter St., San Francisco".
This outstanding, ca1905 American Soda Company Advertising Beer Tray carries the mark of the manufacturer which reads "Kaufmann & Strauss Co. NY. The Chromolithography is of the VERY highest quality as would be expected from the outstanding craftsmen employed by this premier maker of tin lithographed advertising items.
This very beautiful, ca1905 Bartlett Spring Mineral Water Advertising Serving Tray is not a reproduction, reissue or restrike but is an original early 20th century Serving Tray manufactured by Kaufmann & Strauss Co. for the Company to advertise Bartlett Spring Mineral Water.
This beautiful and exceptionally rare, Tin Lithograph Advertising Beer Tray is in very good condition and displays beautifully. The Chromolithography is bright and bold – the colors rich and warm and very attractive. The surface is stable with no crazing and the image area is exceptionally well preserved with no scratches, rubs, nicks, damage or repairs of any kind. There are some small spots of restoration mostly confined to the solid color areas of the raised rim and there is a bend at the edge of the rolled rim at the very top of the Tray. Overall the Tray is exceptionally well preserved and displays beautifully. Please see the scans below for a good indication of the condition of this fantastic Advertising Tray!!

On Jun-17-19 at 21:12:08 PDT, seller added the following information:PLEASE NOTE: This is a correction to the statement of condition in the description above. There is no bend to the rim at the top edge however there is a shallow bend to the top of the image area at 12:00 o'clock. As stated above the surface is stable, however, there is some fine crazing to the surface lithography in the Image area. There are no spots of restoration in the Image area but, as stated above, there are some VERY small spots of restoration to the background color on the raised rim.
