Description:This is a 2 gallon stoneware jug from the late 1800's to the early 1900's. Ottman Bros & Co from Fort Edward NY began using that name in 1872. This jug has the name William J Hill, 86 Hamilton, Albany NY written on it There was a William J Hill Liquors on 86 Hamilton in Albany, NY in a directory dated 1878. There are a few very minor nicks on the top of the jig which can be seen in the photos. There are no crazing marks, cracks, or re...pairs.
