Greetings. Offered for sale is a one-sheet movieposter for the 1959 theatrical release of the Ranown/Columbia western motion picture titled “RIDE LONESOME”. Description: -Thisis a one-sheet movie poster for the 1959 theatrical release of the RIDE LONESOME motionpicture (the initial release of the picture). This is the original 1959 one-sheet poster (it is not areprint, a reproduction or a copy). -Studio: Ranown/Columbia Pictures Co...rp.-PosterNo. "59/11" and "582134". -Actors:Randolph Scott; Karen Steele; Pernell Roberts; Lee Van Cleef; and James Coburn (in his film debut). -Director: Budd Boetticher. -Dimensions of Poster:41” tall by 26.75” wide. -Condition:Overall very good/fine condition. Nice colors. Folded (as originally shipped tomovie theaters). An unrestored posterwhich displays moderate to heavy signs of use including tack/staple holes, edge creases/small tears and minor to moderatediscoloration; fold wear, splits (with one small hole at bottom of "O" in "SCOTT"), water staining. Reverse has writing "Ride Lonesome" in pen (twice; one is crossed out) and "Hondo in Boxes" in pencil (also crossed out). Ownedby an adult collector in a smoke free home.-Descriptionof the motion picture: RIDE LONESOME is one of Budd Boetticher and Randolph Scott's legendary "Ranown" western movies (a series of 7 classic western films the two made in the mid to late 1950s, most scripted by Burt Kennedy). Bounty hunter Ben Brigade (Randolph Scott) captures outlaw Billy John, but is really after his brother, Frank (Lee Van Cleef), who, years earlier, murdered (hung) Brigade's wife. Brigade is joined by Boone and Wid (Pernell Roberts and James Coburn), two others chasing Billy in order to obtain amnesty for past crimes, and the wife (Karen Steele) of a missing (and presumed dead) stagecoach station manager. Fighting off attacks from hostile Native Americans, defusing threats from Boone and Wid (who scheme to take Billy away from Ben), and keeping one step ahead of Frank's pursuing gang, Brigade finally faces Frank at the hanging tree where his wife had been murdered.
