(Word hasit that, years later, he functioned as Leach’s “eyes” as Leach’s own eyesightdeteriorated.)  Based in Lambertville, New Jersey, Temple produced a fabulously successful line of kitchenware.  Healso traveled internationally giving workshops, teaching, and sharing hisartistic philosophy. In 1986 Temple moved to Louisville, Kentucky to focus onmaking one of a kind art pots, many of which transcend function.  These works retained the aesthetic he haddeveloped earlier, but he also experimented with wood and salt firing -exploring simpler yet stately forms by incorporating materials such as cords, bamboo, and metal.  Byron Temple’swork is included in the permanent collections of prestigious museums worldwideincluding the Museum Boymans-van Beuningen of Rotterdam, the Smithsonian, theAmerican Craft Museum, the Speed Art Museum, the Everson Museum and the TaipeiFine Arts Museum in Taiwan.  Byron Templepassed away in April, 2002, leaving behind a legacy that has touched people theworld over.               SHIPPING:  Winning bidder pays for insuredUSPS Priority shipping. Winning New York bidder pays applicable state sales tax.   Internationalshipping charge is $60.  Winninginternational bidders are responsible for any import taxes imposed by theirparticular country.  Payment via PAYPALis due within five days of the end of the auction.
