This is a signed 'A Night at the Opera' album sleeve in blue felt tip by Freddie Mercury, John Deacon, Roger Taylor and Brian May, who adds 'all the best' above his signature.
As you can see from the photos these signatures have fantastic contrast with no smudges and over the many years I have only seen one or two better looking signed examples.The cover is an very good shape with minimal ringwear. I have kept this in a frame the entire time I've owned it.
I bought this directly ...from Thomas Platt, a NJ based autograph dealer about 23 years ago. I have no provenance or history on when or where it was signed. Back in the 80's to late 90's Tom was a well known and respected East Coast autograph dealer.
As for authentification, I didn't receive a COA (which was common in those days) so I have none and I am not going to pay hundreds of dollars to a so-called and self-appointed third party "expert" for their dubious and highly subjective opinion - which is all it is. Show this album to 10 "experts" and 5 will say it's fake and 5 will say it's authentic, so what's the point? I have read too many stories that to put it mildly, questions their credibility.
If you think it's fake then don't bid on it, that's all.
