Item History & Price

Up for sale is a production-made Tomorrowland pin from the 2015 Disney film, Tomorrowland. After attending the 1964 World's Fair in hopes of selling his prototype jetpack, a young Frank Walker runs into a young girl, Athena, who gives him a mysterious pin with a "T" on it which transports him to Tomorrowland to give his jetpack a flight test.
Measuring 1" in diameter and made out of brass and enamel, this ...hand-painted pin is a finished example of the ones sent to the studio for production use. This example features a pin-back clasp style on the back. According to Maggie, the studio requested two versions: a magnet back to quickly pin to the clothing, and a pin-back to ensure it was stable in windy conditions as seen in the flight sequences so it didn't fly off. While not screen-used, this was kept as a back-up in the event of theft, breakage, etc. during filming. A truly rare piece of Hollywood history as no other production examples have ever made it to auction.
All items come from the personal collection of Maggie Schpak, the designer and creator of over 1, 000 iconic jewelry pieces, adornments, and costume accents for Star Trek feature films and television for over 50 years.
