Antique Meissen Porcelain Trumpeter of the Monkey OrchestraThis antique figurine of the Trumpeter belongs to the Monkey Orchestra consisting of 21 monkey musicians. Johann Joachim Kaendler, Meissen's first model master, created this band in 1753.The figurine is approximately 5 3/8 inches high and it is in good antique condition.Appropriate underglaze blue crossed swords mark.
