Here is a great example of a 2 gallon stoneware jug with a blue bird made by New York Stoneware Co. of Fort Edward, New York. This piece is in very good condition. It does have a small chip on the rim that is approx. 1/4" x 1/4" (best seen in last pic.) and on the rim there is also a spot that appears to have occurred during the firing process. Plus on the handle the is a spot that looks like a pop mark (#9 next to last pic.). This is a hard to find wonderful and very decorative piece....
