SHINTO WWII Japanese Samurai Sword Officer SHIN GUNTO KATANA NIHONTO WW2 BLADE
This sword was presented to my Dad in Japan; he was a high ranking officer in the Army Air Corp in World War III do not know anything about this sword except the history from my father who is deceased.I found what looks like the exact sword on EBay which is where I got my information but I am not sure it it pertains to my fathers sword?I do not know how to disassemble the weapon and I am selling exactly ...as found and pictured The sword is definitely original & was gifted to me by my late fatherA company grade officer’s blue/brown tassel is attached to the tuskThe sword is extremely sharp; you can cut thru a thin piece of paper with the bladeSword measures approximately 38” long, the sword 37”, blade length 27” & 29” saya(scabbard)Blade & sword appear to be in extremely good condition for it's age;please see photo #4 as missing pin? on both sidesThe blade is quite shiny with only a few blemishes but NO RUSTWhen I run my finger over the area on the blade that is discolored it is smooth, no pittingI have not tried to clean the blade but definitely not rustPlease excuse camera reflection’s in photosINTERNATIONAL BUYERS PLEASE NOTE IMMEDIATE PAYMENT & PLEASE WAIT FOR MY INVOICE AS WEIGHT LISTED IS AN ESTIMATE;WILL ONLY SHIP PRIORITY OR A METHOD I CAN INSUREPlease feel free to ask questions & note IMMEDIATE PAY PAL payment is due at auction close due to vacation schedule!!!
