I've owned this since about 2000 and ever since I purchased it, I've been meaning to get it serviced by Omega's specialist historic watches department in Biel, Switzerland which I've finally just done as you can see from the document in the pics. I could have had it serviced by one of the UK companies that say they specialise in Omegas but I know that they don't always have access to rare original parts that may be required in the movement to get the watch to the standard we all want.<...br>The serial number 265536xx puts this at 1968.
Needless to say the workshop in Switzerland has done a stunning job. I asked them to keep everything as original as possible whilst carrying out a full service. Cost of service was £562!! Worth it though. As you can see the watch looks stunning. I'm pretty sure that the case had never been buffed before and there was very little to do as you can see from the picture on the cork board, which is pre service. The case is still nice and sharp and now looks as good as it did in '68. The bezel is a replacement I would say but was done before I bought the watch. I have reduced the price to reflect this.
I also have a crystal display back to show off the movement and I'll include that as well. Again I've included a pre service picture of the watch with the display back fitted.
The strap is a generic black leather strap.
I'm based in North Shropshire and I'm happy to meet personally to hand over the watch once funds have cleared into my paypal or bank account. Or I can send by Royal Mail Special Delivery.
This beautiful piece will enhance any collection or undoubtedly make money if you are buying for investment purposes.
