VINTAGE ZIPPO LIGHTERThis listing is for a Zippo lighter that dates to 1958. The underside is impressed with "Bradford Pa ....Zippo.... Pat. 2517191 Pat. Pend" and a registration mark. The front is engraved with a bowling pin with "235 Club" in it and "Edison Bowling Center" below. The engraving is colored in blue and red. It was most likely a bowling league prize for achievement.
It measures about 2 1/4 inches tall, 1 1/2 inches wide and about 3/8 inches thick.
The lighter doe...s not appear to have had much use. The lid hinge is nice and tight. The wheel turns and the flint sparks. There is a wick and batting for the lighter fluid, but it is empty. I didn't test it with fuel for safety in shipping, but I can see no reason it shouldn't work when filled.
It is in very good condition with some minor residue from prior use. There are no dents and very few small surface scratches. Please use the enlarge feature to examine the photos.
