Up for auction is a fine old Chinese bronze scholar’s desk box. This box is a unique example that is finely decorated to both sides with fu lions and qilin dragon. I have never seen another box with this unique design. The box has an old collectors label inside. The box measures 6 1/4 inches wide, by 2 1/2 inches tall. The box weighs 842 grams. The box shows wear and minor imperfections consistent with old age and is otherwise in fine and intact condition with no holes, cracks, and no repairs. A very unique and interesting example.
