PAIR 19th CENTURY SEVRES STYLE GILT BRONZE ORMOLU MOUNTED
BLEU-CELESTE PORCELAIN URNS
You are being offered a beautiful Pair of Hand Painted Antique French Sevres Style Gilt Bronze Ormolu Mounted Bleu-Celeste Porcelain Urns supported on Pedestal Bases with Mask Handles and they are decorated with Bleu-Celeste (Turquoise-Blue) Grounds and Gilded Cartouches featuring Courting Couples on their Front Side and Floral Bouquets on their Reverse Side. The Urns don’t have any id...entifying marks; but we believe they were either made by Sevres or the Whiteware was made in Limoges and decorated by one of the Small Decorating Studios in Paris during the Late 19th Century, circa 1860-1890. The Urns stand 7¾ inches high to their Rims and 9 inches high to the Top of their Handles and they measures almost 4¼ inches in diameter and almost 6½ inches wide from Handle to Handle. Aside from not having their Original Lids and having their Original Nut and Bolts replaced, the Gilt has darkened and there is Gilt loss on the Bronze Ormolu; otherwise the Porcelain on both Urns is in Very Good Condition, without any chips, cracks or scratches and all of the Gilding and Hand Painting is intact..
