ITEM DESCRIPTIONOne of a kind. This is an extremely rare navigation protractor with optical goniometer. High quality nautical or maritime instrument. Antique (made during second half of XIX century). Made in England by A & N.C.S.L. It has a level, three mirrors (one of them used to check level) a scale and a sight with filter to measure degrees watching an image as a reference (angle of reflection automatically found with two interacting moving mirrors). This exceptio...nal device is complete and in working order. Original antique condition with some discoloration on brass & mirrors because the age. Original wooden & leather box (key of box is missing). Long: 16 centimeters. All defects not mentioned but visible in the pictures will be considered as described.
