I have been collecting Squat Bulldogs for I guess 30 years now. My favorite pipe shape. I never counted them...maybe 90. I have been blessed in that I have humbly accepted awards from The Conclave Of Richmond Pipe Smokers Pipe Show for 'Best Pipe Collection' and years ago at the NASPC Show and the pictures shown were from the infamous Chicagoland Pipe Show... voted 'Best Educational Display'. I am selling many of them here on Ebay starting today. My ...focus was 'historical significance', and/or supreme excellence of workmanship. You won't find any 'seconds' here..lol. Lawdogpipes reconditioned all of them so they are in EXCELLENT condition.........Today I am offering a really Incredible English Ben Wade. I bought this unsmoked piece back in the 1980s at The CORPS Show. Some of us 'make fun' of Ben Wades.....lol...And/But....this wood was obviously made and frazed at the Dunhill factory because it is the Exact size of my Dunhill shape 6117. (Duh...Dunhill gave the Wade factory this Stummel? WHY???). I hope the pictures do this beauty justice. Incredible craggy ring grain blast on both sides and shank. And it is more dark red like a Dunhill shell than the pictures show. I only smoked Virginia flakes in it maybe twice. It's not even broken in yet. It looks NEW ...not even any tooth chatter on the button. And yes, I'll find the original Ben Wade vintage pouch to send as well. Overall length: 6 9/16. in., bowl height: 1 1/2 in. with a tobacco chamber diameter: 7/8 inches making the pipe a a exact Dunhill Group 6117 size. I certainly will miss this masterpiece
