Important Antique Samuel Wehl Gilt Bronze Figural Mantel Clock St Petersburg. Case marked S Wehl St Petersburg. Could not find a signature on movement. The last one we find at auction brought almost ten thousand dollars. Back in 2008 a smaller one by Wehl brought 4300 British pounds at Sothebys (close to 6100 dollars!) And this is bigger andnicer! Acquired from the Florida heirs of a Manhattan 1950s business owners estate. Movement is not running and will need the attention a clock maker. Offered with no reserve!
