very unusual large hand wrought cast iron and copper mantle clock very much in the glasgow school manner with the wonderful repousse design which i am told is similar to designs by david veasey for liberty & co, generally in good order with some oxidisation to the cast iron frame but the copper panels are very good order with no damage from polishing, there is a french 8 day drum movement set in the clock but is just for display as it doesn't work and is a little too de...ep so it is in need of some work and is being sold as is, but the results would be a very fine timepiece , it measures 12" x 9.25" x 4.25" so a fine large piece, as you can see from the pictures it weighs in excess of 2kg and this will be reflected in the shipping costsplease see our other auctions for more pieces from the decorative arts era, art nouveau pewter, tudric, archibald knox, kayserzinn, wmf
