1950's Strato Gun "Strato Scout" Real Leather Holster Belt
Ultra rare- There is very little information on these and I can't imagine many survived. What I do know about these holster belts is from old advertisements and believe this was produced either in 1953 or 54. There was a Strato gun kit that was packaged with a holster belt and I also saw an ad that offered holster belts separately in two different styles. Please do your own homework.
Leather is... very good- The holster portion is tough as nails and is quite thick, while the belt is free of edge tears & remains flexible, but does show light surface cracks at one end (see photo). For nearly 70 year old leather it is very good and remains strong. I tore at the belts edges quite hard they are strong, however I would not recommend tearing real hard or bending the belt over too far. It's pretty flexible, but as would be expected, a little brittle in places.
Good hardware- Hardware is quite good, but does show some rust & corrosion throughout. Please review photos carefully for this and overall condition.
Other Notes:
Belt has NOT been cut- The ad I saw mentioned this belt was 30", this one is just about 30.5" (the leather portion) and a tad longer with the buckle.
No writing anywhere- Holster and belt are free of writing.
