NO RESERVE!! LOW INITIAL BID TO ENCOURAGEBIDDING!! Up forauction we have an antique brass miner’s lamp. This beautiful lamp has the originalglass shade of thick clear glass 2 ¼” tall. The glass body is in excellentcondition with NO: scratches, cracks, chips or repairs. The lampmeasures about 3 3/4 inches in diameter at the base and stands 15 inches tallwhen hung up. On the top is incised “KOEHLER MF’G CO MARLBORO MASS. U.S.A.”. Onthe bottom is incised ...the letter “R”. The knob on the bottom works and raisesand lowers the wick. The other device also works and causes a spark in the lampwhen turned. Inside the glass area: I noticed that the wick is old and has ablackened tip from use and that there is a circle with two holes in it. The keywas not found but I opened carefully and everything looked good inside with alarge wire screen at the top. The lamp does not attract a magnet so it isbrass and is in excellent condition. I shook it and didn’t hear any sounds of any fluid in it. I was toldthat these lamps are quite rare so good luck bidding.
