A Very Fine Antique Chinese Porcelain Canton Famille Verte Mauve Dish 19th c.
A finely painted dish depicting a secret romance. A man is teaching a woman while holding her close, outside are two woman watching the duo. The scene is very detailed and in typical Cantonese famille verte or Mauve colourpallet. The outer rim is decorated with flowers with cartouches depicting quails, a rock, a magpie and a small landscape.
Dimensions: 20 x 3 cm
